"Celebrando La maravillosa Vida de Marieke Vervoot.”

Hace pocos ya unas semanas subimos a nuestro canal de Youtube dos videos analizando la película y  el libro yo  antes de ti,  y  sin  querer sonar repetitiva de lo  que ya dije en el  video recuerdo  cuando lo  estaba leyendo, le escribí  a Mily  para decirle

Pero  ¿qué le pasa a ese Will  que no piensa más que en sí mismo?

Y  bueno  el libro  te va llevando  poco  a poco, así  que termine de leerlo y obviamente le hable a mi  compañera de crimen Mily  y  nos enfrascamos en una discusión jajajajaja. Como  siempre cuando  tenemos oportunidad de platicar, yo  estaba al finalizar la lectura completamente a favor  de la decisión de  Mill, y  si  tuve una que otra platica que me decían pero  que te pasa!!!

¿No piensas en esa mujer que lo  amaba?

¿No piensas en su familia?

Y  la verdad es que en ese momento  yo  solo podía pensar en lo  que el sentía, y  lo  que iba a enfrentar más adelante, y no se  me puse en  su lugar y  de verdad, ojala todos pudiéramos tener esa opción no  como  camino  fácil, si no  como  último  recurso.

En fin regresando  a lo  que les quiero platicar hoy  buscando  por Internet  atletas paralímpicos, ya que pronto  estarán los juegos!!!

Que emoción!!

Me encontré esta historia, verídica no  es sacada de un libro, no  un romance es una persona y  te invito  a que la leas junto  conmigo, que la analicemos juntos, y que opines en los comentarios,  incluso puedes opinar como  anónimo  así  que no tendrás problema si no  quieres revelar tu  identidad.

"La atleta belga que se someterá a la eutanasia cuando culmine Río 2016 "

La deportista paralímpica Marieke Vervoort desea ganar otra medalla de oro, antes de ponerle fin a su vida por una enfermedad degenerativa que le produce un dolor insoportable.

Los deportistas tienen la posibilidad de lograr esa gesta.

(Cuantos de nosotros no  estamos emocionados mirando a los atletas dar su máximo  esfuerzo Michael Phelps por decir  un nombre pero  todos obviamente tenemos nuestros favoritos).

Seguramente los más de 10.000 que participan en los Juegos Olímpicos de Río 2016 cierran sus ojos y visualizan dicha hazaña. Pocos la harán realidad, y ni siquiera su historia logrará impactar tanto como la de una de los 4.500 atletas paralímpicos que competirán en la denominada 'Cidade Maravilhosa'.

Y no solo cada noche para visualizar sus éxitos deportivos. Esta valiente mujer lo hará para siempre, cuando finalicen los Juegos Paralímpicos, que se celebrarán entre el 7 y el 18 de septiembre. Luego de tocar la gloria, en Londres 2012, con un oro en los 100 metros lisos y la obtención de la plata en los 200 y los 400 metros lisos, decidió que Río 2016 será su última competencia, su aliento final, el que cese su vida.

(Tres pruebas distintas ganando medallas, tres caminos uno  más difícil  que el  otro solo  ella sabe las dificultades, dolores, angustias esa fuerza  y  determinación pocas almas las tienen)

Vervoort se someterá a la eutanasia cuando terminen los paralímpicos porque el dolor, producto de la enfermedad degenerativa que padece, es insoportable:

 

“Río es mi último deseo, espero acabar mi carrera con un podio. Comienzo a pensar en la eutanasia. Pero, a pesar de mi enfermedad, he vivido lo que otros solo pueden soñar”

 

Expresó en una entrevista a Le Parisien. Su fecha de deceso está pactada para el 2017;

 

El Mismo día de  su  nacimiento el 10 de mayo de 1979, en Diest, Bélgica.

En su país la eutanasia es legal desde 2002 para los pacientes que sufran enfermedades físicas o psíquicas incurables.

Es el caso de ella, quien en 2008 tuvo que dejar de lado su pasión por el triatlón adaptado

 

–disciplina de la que fue doblemente campeona del mundo

 

- por el mal que la dejó postrada en una silla de ruedas.

 

En ese momento entendió que para seguir ligada a su amado deporte debía hacerlo practicando el carrovelismo (esquí sentado), en las carreras en sillas de ruedas.

La huella que dejará Vervoort no se esfumará, porque, entre otros hechos, en 2015, sentada en el objeto que hace transitar sus sueños, fue campeona del mundo en Doha.

 

En ese certamen, además, rompió récords en los 400, 800, 1.500 y 5.000 metros.

 

Su meta en estas olimpiadas es repetir el oro en los 100 metros lisos y alcanzar un metal preciado en los 400.

Ella, la luchadora de vida, Marieke Vervoort, que en ocasiones solo puede dormir 10 minutos por noche debido al intenso dolor que le produce la enfermedad.

 

Desea que el mundo entienda que los sueños tienen que ser dorados y

 

“Que todo el mundo tenga una copa de champán en la mano, y un pensamiento para mí”.

Solo  10 minutos y  todo lo demás es soportar dolor, hay que intentar pensar en cuando fue la última vez que tu  sentiste dolor, pero  dolor  intenso, imagínate vivir  así no  te pediré que te pongas en su lugar nadie podría entender a esta mujer como ella misma.

 

Hablo por mi  Jess que se  cómo la calidad  de vida puede verse  afectada desde mi  perspectiva, con una discapacidad, tantas barreras, tantos prejuicios, la verdad es que no puedo  decir  está bien o mal.

 

Ni mi mente, ni espíritu sabe discernir si  está bien o mal  lo  que hará, lo  único  que sé  es que lo  respeto y  estando  en su lugar esperaría que mis seres queridos también lo respetaran…

 

No  entenderlo, porque sé  que hay muchas cosas que aun como humanidad no  entendemos pero si podemos respetarlas).

 

(La nota que leí  decía atleta belga que se someterá a la eutanasia y  la verdad no me gusta ese título, no  creo  que una vida de  esfuerzo como la de ella lo merezca, le queda chico  ese título, yo quise  compartirles este post porque me conmovió, tanto que ahora mismo  tengo un nudo  en la garganta, al estar escribiendo  esto.

Así que le cambiaremos el título
